Ecological solutions in Africa
The ONATEL (Office National des Télécommunications) is the leading company in the telecommunication industry in Burkina Faso.
In 2006 they decided to build several telecommunication shelters around the country. As all the country is not yet connected to the electricity network, they decided to use Solar Panel in order to produce electricity.
It was important to use low consumption equipment for this reason they chose for the air conditioning to use a high efficient Daikin Inverter split systems (COP > 3,3)
Principle: The solar Panels are connected to an inverter, which convert the DC (direct current) electricity produced by the panels (48V) to an AC (alternating current) electricity (220V, 50 Hz), which can then be used to operate the Air conditioning equipment.
